Quincey cut from Canada

A tough pill to swallow for Mississauga Ice Dog Kyle Quincey, who was cut from Team Canada after skating in two exhibition matches. "This was a dream of mine and (now) that it's gone, it kind of hurts a lot," said Quincey. "It was a great experience and it was great while it lasted. I'll take what I can from it."It's hard to imagine what a blow this would be to a 19-year-old kid, but being the eighth-best Canadian junior defenseman isn't really a bad thing. Coach Brent Sutter made the move in order to make way for Lethbridge Hurricanes defender Brent Seabrook, who has been fighting a shoulder injury. Seabrook's size and physical play will only add to an already nasty Canuck blueline.
"We just felt that Brent's progress is far enough along now that he possibly could be ready for Saturday and we've decided to go down with seven defenseman," said Sutter.
Seabrook wouldn't guarantee his presence in Saturday's lineup when the Canadians meet Slovakia in Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks.
