I think the fact that Kansas City can't economically support a 40 year old Major League Baseball franchise should kind of be a big signal to Bettman that perhaps the novelty of the NHL isn't going to work, no matter how many favours he tries to give to AEG. What a joke.
What makes you think that the Royals are not being supported? You do realize that when the Royals were winning in the 70's and 80's they had great support. It has been many years of bad teams that have dropped support and yet they still have better attendance then Pittsburgh. The Chiefs haven't won much either but at least have been competitive up until the last couple years and have had tremendous support. The people of Kansas City just don't want to continually support owners who do not try to win.
