2007-08 Vezina voting

The only real controversy from last night's awards? New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur winning the Vezina over Evgeni Nabokov of the San Jose Sharks, whose supporters feel like their man has been robbed.
Heck, I thought this one was a lot easier to call than most, with the Calder and Jack Adams the real question marks.
Brodeur's save percentage was considerably better, and Gabe Desjardin's data from the midway point of the season indicated the Devils goaltender faced more difficult shots (and had a lower expected save percentage) than Nabokov.
That said, those were the right top two choices, and it's unfathomable Kiprusoff got a first-place vote this season. There are some strange second choices there, too, likely attributable to GMs (not the most unbiased of observers) selecting their own men.
The only award voting totals I don't yet have up now are those for the Selke, which I might not get to until Saturday morning. Regular readers know I've got a special place in my heart for that one anyway.
