Building up the blogroll
I'm terrible at maintaining things like a blogroll, but I had a chance this morning to go in and add some more top notch sites to the listing on the left-hand sidebar. Here's who I have so far — let me know if there's a site out there you really enjoy that I've missed:
Hockey blogs
- Andrew's Stars Page
- Battle of Alberta
- Battle of California
- Covered in Oil
- Dan Tolensky
- Empty Netters
- FanHouse
- Five Hole Fanatics
- Illegal Curve
- Japers' Rink
- Kukla's Korner
- Lowetide
- mc79hockey
- Off Wing Opinion
- On Frozen Blog
- On the Forecheck
- On the Wings
- The Pensblog
- Puck Daddy
- Red Wings Snapshots
- Sharkspage
- Spector
- St. Louis Game Time
- Thrashers Have Large Talons
- Tom Benjamin
Beat writer blogs
- Ducks Blog [ANA]
- Mike Knobler [ATL]
- Bruins Blog [BOS]
- Puck-rakers [CMB]
- On Frozen Pond [FLA]
- Inside the Kings [LA]
- Russo's Rants [MIN]
- Habs Inside/Out [MON]
- Fire & Ice [NJD]
- Rangers Report [NYR]
- Working the Corners [SJS]
- Lightning Strikes [TB]
- Damien Cox [TOR]
- Capitals Insider [WAS]
- Scott Burnside
- Craig Custance
- Eric Duhatschek
- Pierre LeBrun
- NYT Slap Shot
I think I'm going to have to add a separate section for the SBN Hockey blogs, although all of those are available from the hockey pulldown menu as well.
The NHL blogosphere is much, much bigger than it was even a year or two ago.

Seconded
I’d throw The Willful Caboose in there for the Sabres as well. There’s always my own site as well ;) /shameless self-promotion.

Yeah, I have no idea why I don’t have Bruce on there already.

1) Getting more difficult to to not only list all the many quality blogs, but to visit them regularly. The blogophere has exploded the past 3-4 years!
2) During the lockout there were few decent blogs out there, and thats how we found this one as one of the few places you could get unbiased opinion about the labour war!

There are going to be way too many for me to list. I know I’ve forgotten some of my favourites though.

There’s no mention of the Leafs at all, anywhere.
Feels like playoff time.

There are lots of good Sabres blogs out there, but my favorite is The Goose’s Roost.

Lots of good Sabres blogs
In terms of both quantity and quality Buffalo’s blogs are probably only second to Edmonton’s.

My recommendation
Less Sabres, More Leafs.

Somewhat shameless self-promotion
OilersNation has one expert beat writer (Robin Brownlee), an Edmonton-based sports radio host (Jason Gregor), and yours truly as writers:
http://www.oilersnation.com/index2.php
I know you’ve got a ton of Oilers links, but IMO this is one of the better sites out there.

Just don’t ask the other Oilers bloggers ;)
Make sure their blogroll is updated first James!

VERY IMPORTANT
I think I’m going to have to add a separate section for the SBN Hockey blogs, although all of those are available from the hockey pulldown menu as well.
To the uninitiated you can set up your profile so that your favourite SBN sites make up the pulldown menu. It also lets you know when new content, fanposts, or fanshots have been published.
