Stars to sign Parrish

The Stars have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free agent winger Mark Parrish and will have him in tomorrow for a physical. If he passes the physical, the Stars will sign him and have him on the practice ice Wednesday, according to Stars co-GM Les Jackson.

— Mike Heika, The Dallas Morning News

Parrish had been playing on an AHL tryout contract with the Islanders, who honestly could have used him up front more than the Stars. He had two points in three games with Bridgeport.

Dallas has been relying on some young forwards to this point this season, and given they're stuck in a major rut, they could be in for some big-time changes.

Greg Wyshynski had a good look at the Stars' turmoil earlier today.
