Boudreau's perspective on Avery
... when asked if he had Sean Avery in Manchester of the AHL, Bruce Boudreau said, "Yep. It is in the book." Boudreau went on to say an ENTIRE CHAPTER of his book, which comes out next fall, is dedicated to his time coaching Sean Avery.
The kicker is Boudreau only had Avery for one week. Avery played three games for the Monarchs in the 2002-03 AHL playoffs.
"I had him for one week," Boudreau said. "It felt like a year."
What's incredible is just how few people are coming forward defending Avery in this situation, especially given the talk of massive suspensions being thrown around. I know he's unpopular; I didn't realize he was this unpopular with the hockey establishment.
Thanks to Japers' Rink for the link. Here's some info on the book Boudreau has coming out next fall.

I’m not shocked at ALL that no one is defending him. He’s genuinely unlikeable, and this has turned into full blown mob mentality. All we need now are some pitchforks.
I love how Boudreau dangles the perfect teaser. “I only had him one week- felt like a year.” (BUY MY BOOK AVAILABLE AT FINE BOOKSTORES EVERYWHERE!!)
I probably won’t buy Boudreau’s book, but I am really interested to hear some of the specific stories about what Avery’s done to get run out of hockey.
