Burke goes Duck hunting, snags May

The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired a conditional sixth-round selection in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for left wing Brad May.

>> team release

We've been hearing for a few weeks here in Toronto that GM Brian Burke was set to make a move to improve team toughness, and I'm assuming this is the tip of the iceberg.

For the minutes he plays, my guess is May will be popular here. He hasn't been a liability when on the ice for the Ducks and works his tail off.

I'm still betting we see Burke overhaul the Leafs roster in the near future.

I wonder how Dominic Moore feels about having Brad May as a teammate? Isn’t May the one who allegedly put the bounty on his brother’s head? Just sayin’.
