Living in Toronto is getting to you James. You are starting to report Leafs minutia as though it is as important as moderate to big news from other teams.
When was the last time you reported who the new #1 centre of another NHL team might be or that their coach was looking for scoring?

Considering that James is referring to the “latest episode” of the soap opera, I think he has a pretty healthy tongue-in-cheek attitude about the obsession over minutiae.

James notes that Steven Stamkos has supplanted Vincent Lecavalier as the #1 centre for the Lightning. That’s right: yesterday.

Well, I’m doing it as part of my job so… that has to count for something, no?
But, yes, there is more Leafs-related material here lately. That I won’t apologize for.

WAH WAH WAH
In case you whiners hadn’t noticed, James mentioned that he has been covering the Leafs for the Globe and if you click the link you’ll see it goes to the article he wrote for the paper.
Honestly, people that complain about what’s written on a free site should think twice about posting inane comments.

I’m going to guess Penner and Ovechkin are two of the others.

“Against the Lightning, Kessel became only the fifth player to record 10 or more shots in a game this season, joining Alex Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin, Jeff Carter and Dustin Penner.”

Meanwhile, just like the Calgary Flames (and Abbotsford Heat), the Toronto Maple Leafs (and Toronto Raptors, not sure about the Marlies, but I’d assume so since they’re under the MLSE umbrella) got their H1N1 vaccinations before most children under 5, pregnant women, and people with respitory problems. Score another victory for preivelege!
Other Canadian sports teams that have jumped the queue include the Moncton Wildcats and Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the QMJHL.

To be fair, sports teams haven’t been the only ones in Canada using money to get access to the vaccine.

The Wildcats also had to cancel two games (and perhaps a third) due to the H1N1 virus running through their dressing room.
