No Milan Hejduk is a freaking joke (Jiri Hudler should probably be there too).
I find myself rooting against them vehemently now.

Was just going to comment on the lack of Hejduk. Maybe that’s good news for the Avs, he can rest that bum knee
If this is a re-build...we should do it every year.
AD posted that it has to do with Hejduk’s lingering knee problem. A great snub nonetheless.

Vinny Prospal is also an omission from the list. He’s on the shelf for 2-3 weeks with a minor knee surgery. But, he has done a phenomenal job in shifting from left wing to top line center on a line with Marian Gaborik for the New York Rangers. He’s leading the Rangers in assists with 24.

Update
Hejduk’s choice not to be on the roster. My rage has subsided.

wow, that’s very interesting. I know that Hejduk takes a lot of pride in playing for his country. But he certainly is an Avalanche guy through and through.

Congrats to Roman Polak!
Not bad for a former 6th round draft pick. He’s been one of the Blues best lock down D-Men all season.
Breaking News: I'm currently in the process of writing "I will not say and/or type "that word" 1,000 times.
I think half of the Swedish roster is guys drafted by the Red Wings in the 6th round or later.

Some odd choices... as per usual
If they were going with a youth movement I get why you would leave off Hejduk but why Hudler? Both, along with Prospal should’ve been locks. I agree with Rolinek cause he is an awesome ‘sandpaper’ kind of guy and works his butt off but Vasicek and Cervenka? I think Cajanek is there to be on a line with Jagr (my guess is that they want an all Euro line of Jagr, Cervenka and Cajanek) which they tried at the last Karlaja Cup.
But who wouldn’t trade Prospal, Hudler and Hejduk for Vasicek, Cervenka and Cajanek? Unless the latter 3 are some kind of defensives/faceoff wizards that I am not aware of?
Blatak is young and ‘not bad’ but how do you leave of guys like Spacek, Hamrlik and Roszival in his place? Again, I’ll assume it is some kind of youth movement there.
Stepanek is not a good goalie and they got burned last time by picking a lousy 3 string goalie (Hnilicka). I would’ve rather Neuvirth or Salak as, I think, they are the future of the next generation of Czech goalies and are used to the small rinks.
