Avery heads to Hartford

"I would like to thank Glen Sather and the Rangers organization for giving me the chance to resume my hockey career  by affording me this opportunity with the Hartford Wolf Pack.  I am looking forward to getting back on the ice,  working my way back to the NHL and playing the game I love.   While I appreciate the many interview requests, at this point in time, I would like to focus on hockey and will not be making any further statements while with the Wolf Pack."

— Sean Avery

These will be Avery's first AHL games since three playoff games with Manchester way back in 2003, so it's been a while. He's only played 109 regular season games in the AHL, which isn't bad for a guy who went undrafted out of junior.

My guess is, with the way the Rangers are playing, Avery spends a very short amount of time in the AHL before he's on re-entry waivers. Either he'll be in New York or someone else claims him within a week or two.

Good luck with that NY. Talk about desperation…. they KNOW the locker room cancer they’re getting, yet they’re still bringing him in.

As a King fan, been there done that… no way I’d touch that circus with a 10-foot pole….

Cheers,
Matt

It's About Time

To all the haters out there that are so sensative to anything being said, it will be good to see Sean back. He is good for the game. hockey is a rugged, hard nosed game and if people can’t take a hit here and there, then get out the rink…. Bring back the intensity to the garden soon Sean… Peace Out

Warmest Regards
Eric Nova

I’m not sure what’s so funny. Bigoted misogynists with third line talent are always needed in this game. Why do you think Mike Milbury still has a job?

Rangers, Royals, Raiders, Knicks...the man loves a winner.
