Don King is a Panthers fan

Probably not. But I did find this in a FanShot over at The Litter Box:

Bizarre.

King apparently dropped the ceremonial puck for a Panthers game last week to promote an upcoming fight at their rink in Sunrise. He's been hanging around the team for a while, and even spoke to his fandom when Florida played the Flyers last month:

''We want the Panthers to win,'' King said, "although Philadelphia is where they made the Constitution.''

If that's not a strange way to pick a team to cheer for, I don't know what is.

He’s the “greatest” patriot we have. I don’t think he puts down the flags.

This Zednik goal was all sorts of absurd, but the clip is also good for two other things:

a seemingly, drunken Denis Potvin slurring out praise the marker in super-slo-mo, and
Don King chiming in his own, mildly-insane two cents on the goal that come later in the video

I know seats are cheaper down here than up in Canada, but not THAT cheap! These particular ones were upgraded from my seats in the upper bowl, but definitely not cheap if purchased at the box office.
