Keenan passes Quinn in coaching wins

Pat Quinn needs to get back into the NHL to continue this battle. Here's a look at the leaders in all-time coaching wins after Mike Keenan moved into fourth place Thursday night:

It's a pretty impressive group, albeit with a few surprises on there (Crawford). Quinn is the highest-ranked coach to have never won the Cup.

It’s funny to see how few of them are really above .500
Bowman not only has the highest numbers of games played and wins, he also has the best winning %. He stands at .581, while the closest one in this list is Toe Black with a .547 record.

Yeah, but it should be noted that a coach needs quite a margin of wins versus losses to offset all the ties and win over .500.

Crawford isn’t too much of a surprise. He had the Nords/Avs when they were just starting their run as an elite team, and he coached the Canucks at the peak of the West Coast Express.

Billy Reay I had to look up, however. I see he coached some really solid Hawks teams in the 60s and 70s.
