I'm pleased to present the grand prize trophy for my annual Hockey Blogger Invitational fantasy pool to Kent from Matchsticks & Gasoline, who rode the impressive pickup of Steve Mason midseason to first place in the regular season and a win in the playoffs.
After winning the first two tournaments, I had to settle for fourth this time around, for which I blame my goaltenders (Martin Gerber and Carey Price, among others). Congrats to everyone who took part and see you next season:
In the B and C pools, the winners were The Flamingos and Cold Steel On Ice. Mirtle's Merry Men had to settle for second and third place, mainly due to more bad picks in goal (I'm sure many poolies took J.S. Giguere's name in vain this season).
