Lindy Ruff, Ken Hitchcock and Jacques Lemaire will be assistant coaches to Mike Babcock on Canada's 2010 men's Olympic hockey team, sources tell CTVOlympics.ca. The team's executive director, Steve Yzerman, is expected to officially introduce all four coaches in a news conference Thursday morning in Montreal.

I'm surprised to see Lemaire in the club, but he could be a good choice in a tournament like this where tight defensive hockey is key. Canada's got a lot of talent on the ice, but behind the bench they have a big advantage given all of the experienced NHL minds to choose from.

Guess we can expect to see Weber used in the shootout, while Crosby sits on the bench.

I didn’t see Marc Crawford mentioned in there…

That is probably the closest expression to “happy” that Babcock owns.

I can’t wait for these Olympics, there’s definitely going to be some fantastic hockey on display.

Penn Staters belong at Penn State. The problem with a lot of kids is they just don’t know they are Penn Staters yet. -jesse. @ BSD
