Agent debunks Sykora-Bylsma rift
Super agent Allan Walsh is Twittering again, and this time he's refuting a report that client Petr Sykora had some personal issues with Penguins coach Dan Bylsma (as reported in a Czech publication).
Here's Walsh on the story:
"A tabloid in Czech Republic published an interview (with) Petr Sykora alleging a rift between him and Dan Bylsma. The "interview" never happened," Walsh wrote. "On opposite page of the Sykora "interview" is (a) story alleging evidence that Michael Jackson faked his death and is still alive."
An increase in the sales of single sequined gloves?
"Sykora respects Dan Bylsma and never had issues with him," Walsh continued. "Petr played down stretch with 2nd degree shoulder separation and kept quiet. The pain was so bad, Petr had trouble holding his stick. He never relied on injury as excuse for scoring drought (in the) last 17 games of (the) season.
"All told, Petr scored 25 goals in 60 games (without injury) and was near league leaders in PP goals at All-Star break. Not a bad season!"
Walsh also talked to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and said Sykora has interest from seven teams. I imagine a few are waiting to see what happens with Alex Tanguay before offering up a contract to some of the second-tier scoring wingers available.

Could it be that a few teams are waiting to see what happens with those second-tier scoring wingers before making a pitch for Tanguay?

I’m under the impression that Tanguay has quite a few suitors right now… there really isn’t a lot out there for second tier scorers, either.
