Kelly had three years left on his deal that pays him about $1.75-million (all currency U.S.) annually and included a floating bonus. The NHLPA also is paying off former executive director Bob Goodenow in instalments. He had five years at $2.5-million a year on his deal when forced to resign on July 28, 2005. Saskin took home roughly $400,000 in a negotiated settlement with the NHLPA after being fired.

A Lot for Nothing!
1) That’s a lot of buy out cash for the players to have to pay for nothing PLUS to have to pay a new person to come in and clean up the mess and get ready for the next inevitable NHL-NHLPA confrontation
2) . Can see Mr Bettman licking his chops getting ready for some big concessions from the players(guaranteed contracts?)
I find sometimes it's easy to be myself
sometimes I find it's better to be somebody else

Saskin got $400,000? Not a bad settlement for hacking into people’s emails.

Probably not much more expensive than potential court costs and pushed the story out of the media to boot.

Yeah, Saskin has vanished from the face of the earth after all that.

WIth $400,000 to do nothing, I’d kick it to a secluded beach resort faster than you can say “privacy infringement”.
