SBN Gameday: Dion Staring at the Sun

Tonight's soundtrack: Judy Staring at the Sun by Catherine Wheel

Game of the Night

(Ok, so this doesn't have many implications on the playoff race...but come on, aren't you at least a little curious?)
New Jersey at Toronto, 7 PM EST
What goes through the mind of Maple Leaf fans when they find out they got Dion Phaneuf and Jean-Sebastian Giguere? The Devils don't care about the Toronto media horde, they're just looking ahead to a good February.

Washington at Boston, 7 PM EST
Part of the reason why the Capitals keep rolling is because they're going to the net. That makes it even harder for Boston to defend, especially with Mark Stuart out.

Tampa Bay at Atlanta, 7 PM EST
The Thrashers come home, and so do the 500 fans that followed them to Nashville. Tampa is looking to rebound after losing to the hottest team in the NHL.

Vancouver at Montreal, 7:30 PM EST
Amidst all the recent trade activity, did Bob Gainey miss out? The Canucks aren't too concerned with all those moves, though, as they focus on getting an extension for Ryan Kesler.

Minnesota at Dallas, 8 PM EST
Marty Turco starts tonight for Dallas as their distant Minnesota cousins come to town. Hockey Wilderness looks at other Minnesota Wild news.

Phoenix at Nashville, 8 PM EST
The Coyotes get ready for life without Scottie Upshall while the Predators are looking to play better than they did in their win against Atlanta.

Columbus at Colorado, 9 PM EST
With the trade deadline looming, where does the young Avalanche roster stand? Mike Commodore is out for at least tonight's game.

NY Rangers at Los Angeles, 10:30 PM EST
Hey, did you hear the Rangers made a deal last night? The Kings have a good win-loss record since Jewels From The Crown joined SBN. Hmmm...

Detroit at San Jose, 10:30 PM EST
Evgeni Nabokov isn't looking forward to the return of Tomas Holmstrom. The Red Wings will also look to the strategy of "make decent passes and decent shots."
