SBN Gameday: A Drug Against War

Tonight's soundtrack: A Drug Against War by KMFDM -- because the presence of Colin Campbell and Terry Gregson might be the thing that prevents the Boston/Pittsburgh match-up from degenerating into retribution brawls. By the way, though I've pegged that game as the Game of the Night, there are a bunch of great games to pick from tonight. It's the perfect night to settle in with a few pints of Newcastle Brown Ale.

Game of the Night
Pittsburgh Penguins at Boston Bruins, 7 PM EST
Some guy named Matt Cooke will be visiting Boston tonight. Pensburgh has good breakdown of Pittsburgh's defense.

Ottawa Senators at Atlanta Thrashers, 7 PM EST
Ottawa struggled against the Leafs and can't have a repeat performance tonight. Thrashers fans are targeting free agents already.

St. Louis Blues at New York Rangers, 7 PM EST
One reason why Blues fans can hate the Rangers: Mike Keenan. The Rangers need more out of Marian Gaborik because no one else is doing anything.

Washington Capitals at Carolina Hurricanes, 7 PM EST
Is Nicklas Backstrom the true MVP for Washington? NCAA prospect Zac Delpe has signed with Carolina.

Phoenix Coyotes at Florida Panthers, 7:30 PM EST
Check out Ilya Bryzgalov's new mask. Nathan Horton might return tonight.

Buffalo Sabres at Tampa Bay Lightning, 7:30 PM EST
Patrick Kaleta kindly requests you rock the house. Is it time for the Bolts to start playing spoiler?

New Jersey Devils at Toronto Maple Leafs, 7:30 PM EST
The Devils must avoid a letdown tonight. Toronto may not be going to the playoffs but they still have some things better than Ottawa.

Minnesota Wild at Nashville Predators, 8 PM EST
The Predators are still winning, even ugly games. If the Wild can play hard against the worst team in the league, they can put in a good effort against the Preds.

Philadelphia Flyers at Dallas Stars, 8:30 PM EST
Please take Braydon Coburn off the Flyers power play. Dallas must avoid the dreaded post-"we kicked the crap out of a team" letdown.

San Jose Sharks at Vancouver Canucks, 10 PM EST
Tonight could be a turning point for the San Jose Sharks. Vancouver is looking for a similar turning point.

Chicago Blackhawks at Los Angeles Kings, 10:30 PM EST
The Blackhawks are hurting after a nasty tilt with the Ducks. Magic numbers for the Kings? What is this, math class?

Please don't associate KMFDM with a Penguins win.

Ha, as much as I appreciate an attempt to cross over two of my biggest passions—KMFDM & the NHL, I just love KMFDM far too much for it to be tied with a Penguins win. Though KMFDM appreciates the publicity, I think you could do it differently—like a Ducks/Kings game or something—where TEEMU SELANNE is the reason why the teams don’t break out in war. 8^)

Great taste in music, though, dude! One of my favorite songs. 8^)
