The Week in Hockey Blogging
Every Sunday, FTR will review the best links across the hockey blogosphere from the past week.
The soundtrack for the past week:
3/15: 2+2=5 by Radiohead
3/16: Montreal Makes Me Sad Again by Of Monrtral
3/17: Everything's Gone Green by New Order
3/18: A Drug Against War by KMFDM
3/19: Help, I'm Alive by Metric
3/20: You Get What You Deserve by Big Star
Rink Side Radio had a lively discussion with Stephen of Japers' Rink on the Alex Ovechkin suspension. New episode Monday night!
Contest time! Win a copy of Night Work: The Sawchuck Poems from the good folks at Copper n' Blue.
How does Ilya Kovalchuk rate in his first 15 games as a New Jersey Devil?
Who should the Atlanta Thrashers target in the off-season?
Hockey returns to ESPN -- in NCAA form.
Was eight games enough for what James Wisniewski did to Brent Seabrook?
It's springtime, so of course the appropriate purchase would be a NHL bikini, right?
All-time Red Wings, anyone?
Where does Matt Duchene stand in the race for the Calder Trophy?
All the goodwill Boston's Claude Julien had from last season is gone; off with his head!
And finally, as someone from California, this is pretty cool -- Jake Newton worked through the Junior Ducks and Junior Kings systems in southern California, and now he's been signed away from his NCAA team by the Anaheim Ducks.

Please, I beg you, Mike Chen
Stop doing the Soundtrack. PLEASE!
It was terrible when John Buccigross started doing it years ago and it’s still terrible today.
In two months of doing this, this is the only bit of negative feedback (other than “I’ve never heard of that song”) I’ve received on it. I’ll hold on to it until that trend changes, but I’ll definitely keep it fairly minimalist at just the headline and a brief mention. For me, it helps as it spices up writing the daily Gameday posts.
Music fans seem to get a kick out of it, everyone else just ignores it since it’s really only a sentence or two. Don’t worry, I won’t start quoting big blocks of lyrics — I promise it won’t get too invasive.
